London 09 - 13/14 Feb

13th February

Yesterday was so stressful, but fun. Got to Amanda's for four after a very upsetting goodbye to my mum. Made her some dark chocolate cornflake cakes before i left though, so she'll be alright.

Eventually, we left for Chippenham at 5:30. Random chatter in the car. Churchill the car insurance dog is now a paedophile. Rob. Oh, and talk about whatever school gossip we have. All pretty average, run of the mill, nothing shocking.

After 3 hours in the car just talking, we were there! Straight to morrissons where we bought popcorn and other foods to keep us lovely and healthy! Walking around, looking for smaller packs of bananas while listening to groaning men on the phone! I love morissons.

Got to the house - its like a palace! Massive, new and gadgety with huge rooms and lots of plugs (after i decided i was going to nick amanda's bed for the week, we counted 11 plugs in her room alone)

We were told stirfry for tea and so we went to investigate the creepy mansion house which was later identified as a school. After we hastily climbed over the gates, I kept looking behind us through the darkness and asked amanda if we were trespassing. She said we were. Then we looked through skips (it was also a building site) and made tales of tramps living there. Note to self - don't explore schools with expansive grounds after dark. It was peaceful though, if you know what i mean. Quiet and mysterious. I'm such a wuss, but it was dark and creepy with a demolition site.

Got back, had a gorgeous stirfry while watching Not Going Out. What a legendary programme! Then we went into the lounge and watched pushing daisies. Before that though, was the news. Warrington Bank Quay was on the news at 10. Because we've banned kissing. Upon hearing this news, me and amanda went 'WAYYYYYY *high 5*' Scary man who changed his opinion halfway through -'oh yes, i think its a good idea. yes, splendid, yes, clogging traffic... I THINK ITS STUPID, Flippin' LOCO! Mental' and then they cut him off. So funny.

As for pushing daisies, It was an amazing episode - PIGBY DID IT! Killed the woman. For truffles. If you didn't watch the episode, this won't make any sense.
Pushing daisies finished and this really old film came on - creepy and crappy dracula film. Then went bed.

Chatted till 2 in the morning even though we knew full well that we had to get up at 8. Then Zoeyy texted at 2:15 and we blamed her for waking us, even though it clearly wasn't her fault. We weren't even asleep. Eventually we fell asleep. Got about 5 hours, but we'll be okay.

14th February

Got up, lazy sleepy eyed to sweet escape by Gwen Stefani. Amanda, in her own words, refused to get up. Haha. Elbow started playing while i was getting changed. Its nice to listen to music in the morning. Wakes you up.

Manda got up, in time, while i had a bowl of cocopops for breakfast. Then we went to play in the tiny bit of snow left and discovered it was ice. Damn. Went for a walk across residential Chippenham. Saw a well in the garden, which was filled with soil and flowers. Got a bit lost, but soon found ourselves and got into the car to go! :)

Arrived in London at about 1130 and got the tube for the first time ever. Got on at Park Royal, off at Covent Garden. Covent Garden=Amazing. Went on a necklace hunt - got a lime green one for my mum. Then got finger puppets for Rosie and Jamie. Then we found the David and Goliath shop. Amanda dragged me away so we could go for lunch.

Walking around to find a place to eat, we saw Nancy from Oliver! Shocked! Ended up in a starbucks where i got a cheese and marmite ciabatta, some patatas bravas crisps and a bottle of water. We watched couples go by (it is valentines day after all). On a bus, there was a couple that looked so in love, but creepy. Some couples matched outfits, others didn't. Coatwise for example. Saw an amphibious van tour of London called 'Ducktours' and we looked at radiotaxis whatever the hell they are. Full to bursting, we left starbucks and walked back to David and Goliath. On our way, amanda bought a big issue. The guy gave us 2 for the price of 1 and a third.

Back at David and Goliath, i got a dark blue top that said 'Feeling Crabby?' On it, and Amanda got a 'Come to the dark side we have cookies' top.

Garrick time. We started walking the wrong way at first. Then we were flabbergasted by all the cinemas. Found it, rushed to the bog and bought a programme. Then we were there. In the first row of the dress circle. Absolutely amazing seats. Sadly, Diego wasn't played by the fit Matt Rawle, but by the almost as fit Paul Basleigh. My favourite character was the wonderful gypsy Inez. She was so funny, and fiesty.

In the interval, i went to get some Haagen dasz after much persuasion from my stomach. Then the second half started. It was bizzare, but just as amaing as the first half! The weird bit was the finale. Everyone got really into it... including Zorro! He was doing the rumba in the corner, me and Amanda were like 'What...' I couldn't stop laughing.

We left, soon on our way to harrods, but not before Amanda bought a really cool Zorro t shirt. Tube to Knightsbridge.

Harrods is amazing. So overpriced and OTT. Overwhelming, but astounding none the less. Demo of fake snow. I'd love some of that! There's a waterstones and HMV in there, an odd little pet area with finely crafted chocolates made for dogs. Went to the food hall and bought some teabags as a present for someone. Tube back to Park Royal.

Needed sleep in the car, but just rested my eyes. Manda slept bless her. When we for in the house, got a bit more comfortable and watched live at the apollo with one of the fittest spaghetti bolognases i have ever tasted.

Again, talked till 2 in the morning. What a week this will be!
